The Synapsys Nystagview Videonystagmoscopy System is a system designed to accurately explore a patient's vestibular function using a test called videonystagmography.

This test, also called a VNG exam, can detect nystagmus (involuntary horizontal, vertical, and tensional movements of the eyeball) that result in dizziness or imbalance. It will be able to record and quantify spontaneous and induced eye movements that may result from vestibular dysfunction.

The Synapsys Nystagview videonystagmoscope is primarily used by balance disorder specialists such as ENT specialists and vestibular rehabilitation therapists.

The device is suitable for other tests such as spontaneous testing, positional and positional tests, BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo) maneuvers, fixation testing, variation-induced nystagmus testing, Head shaking test (Rapid head shaking maneuver) as well as caloric testing (a technique which consists of injecting a stream of water or air, cold or hot, into the external auditory canal).

The Synapsys Nystagview videonystagmoscopy system is ideal for performing a functional exploration of the vestibular system (the organ that maintains the balance of the body's axis as well as ocular stability during movement). This allows healthcare professionals to examine its functioning and quickly detect disorders.

The included goggles are suitable for both adults and children and keep the patient in complete darkness during the examination, which is essential for reliable and safe testing. They are also very comfortable due to their lightweight design and adjustable strap.

In addition to being able to adjust the camera position, this device is equipped with eye fixation LEDs that can be activated during the examination. The image can only be viewed on a monitor or TV screen and it is possible to have it binocularly provided that two different screens are available.
