Description

VENTILATION IN HARMONY WITH THE PATIENT Sensitive, precise synchronization and continuous adaptation functions combine to provide the necessary ventilatory assistance, enable access to optimal levels of spontaneous ventilation, facilitate the weaning process and protect the patient from serious side effects such as volotrauma or atelectasis. INSPIRATORY SUPPORT - THE STANDARD FOR NEWBORNS Inspiratory Assist (IA) automatically compensates for leaks, giving the child greater control over the respiratory cycle by synchronizing inspiration and expiration. Continuous, automatic leak compensation ensures optimal inspiratory times. GUARANTEED VOLUME The Guaranteed Volume (GV) feature combines the benefits of pressure-controlled ventilation with those of volume-controlled ventilation. The preset tidal volume is kept constant, regardless of spontaneous ventilation or variations in lung conditions. The guaranteed volume ensures sufficient ventilation while avoiding the risk of volotrauma. BABYFLOW NASAL CPAP The Babylog® 8000 plus combines all the advantages of non-invasive ventilation with an easy-to-use nasal CPAP system specially designed for the smallest patients. The unique mask design provides stable, atraumatic CPAP ventilation. HIGH-FREQUENCY VENTILATION* The Dräger Babylog® 8000 plus features a high-frequency ventilation (HFV) option which is activated at the touch of a button, and can be used in conjunction with CPAP or VC modes. The ventilator accurately measures even the smallest tidal volumes, enabling you to fine-tune your therapy to your patients' needs (*not available in the USA). SIMPLE OPERATION, ERGONOMIC DESIGN A user-friendly, high-visibility display* shows your data in real time or as a graphical or numerical trend. The combination of user-customizable monitoring functions and intelligent alarms facilitates workflow and allows the caregiver to concentrate on patient care. CONTROLS - Control principle Continuous flow, limited pressure, time-controlled - Conventional ventilation IMV/IPPV, CPAP - Triggered ventilation IMV, SIPPV, PSV1), adapted leakage - Triggered flow/volume, leak-adapted - Trigger delay approx. 30 milliseconds - High-frequency ventilation1) 3) CPAP+HFV, IMV+HFV - Frequency 5 to 20 Hz - Guaranteed volume Ventilation1) SIMV+VG, SIPPV+VG, PSV+VG - Oxygen mixer loss (purge flow) 0 (zero) L/min PARAMETERS - Inspiratory oxygen concentration 21 -100 vol. % oxygen - Peak inspiratory pressure 10 to 80 mbar VPEP/PPC 0 to 25 mbar - Maximum frequency 200 bpm2) - Inspiratory time 0.1 to 2 seconds - Expiratory time 0.2 to 30 seconds - Inspiratory flow 1 to 30 L/min - Base flow (VIVE) 1 to 30 L/min MONITORING - Integrated Y-piece flow monitoring - Y-piece volume monitoring, integrated - Pulmonary function monitoring Compliance, C20/C resistance, time constant - Integrated FiO2 monitoring - Real-time curves Integrated flow and pressure - Maximum pressure at 99 mbar - Mean airway pressure at 99 mbar - Integrated 6-parameter graphical trends - Logbook of last 100 alarms
