The Ambu Perfit Cervical Collar is a rigid, one-piece cervical collar for immobilizing the cervical spine, designed to assist the rescuer in maintaining the head-neck-trunk axis, preventing lateral movement, anteroposterior flexion and extension of the cervical spine during patient transport, transfer and care. The cervical collar maintains neutral alignment by supporting the chin, occiput and upper thorax. Respecting the head-neck-trunk axis prevents vertebral injuries. This position also prevents torsion or compression of the spinal cord, leading to spinal injury and/or ischemia.
