All identification phases, from reading to recording results, are automated, optimizing laboratory organization. As the system works with barcode-identified cards, full traceability is ensured and the risk of transcription errors is reduced. Thanks to this system, preparation and response times are reduced, with results obtained between 2 and 18 hours. Advanced Colorimetry Technology™ for microbial identification The effectiveness of the VITEK® 2 Compact system is based on advanced colorimetry technology: the system reads the latest-generation VITEK test cards every 15 minutes using three different wavelengths. These cards contain 64 wells to ensure absolute precision. Thanks to this technique, the amount of data analyzed is greater, improving the accuracy of results. Developed and tested on over 17,000 isolates.
