REICHERT ULTRACUT S MOTORIZED MICROTOME WITH CRYO FCS MODULE AND KNIFEMAKER

Ultramicrotome with fully motorized cutter plates (even beginners can prepare perfect cuts). The instruments produce cut thicknesses from 20 nm to 2.5 µm and at temperatures down to -185°C. Specially designed damping systems prevent ambient vibrations from affecting cut quality. This microtome also features a stereomicroscope that can move centrically around the sample to ensure excellent imaging at all times. With the FCS add-on module, the microtome transforms into a cryotome (a low-temperature cutting system for biological samples at temperatures down to -185°C (cuts can be made on either a glass or diamond knife, as the knife holder can accommodate both, plus a finishing cutter). The Leica Knifemaker produces 45° glass knives for 6.4, 8 and 10 mm glass. Variable knife blade lengths can be produced at all ambient temperatures and cryosections. Video
