BECKMAN IQ 200 SELECT URINE CYTOLOGY ANALYZER

The iQ® 200 system is an in vitro diagnostic device used to automate complete urinalysis profiles, including chemical profiles from urine dipsticks and microscopic analysis of urine sediments. Eventually, the iQ200 analyzer can be used on its own, or iQ200 results can be combined with other urine chemistry results from a LIS. It produces quantitative or qualitative measurements of all sedimentary elements present in urine, such as cells, cylinders, crystals and organisms. A skilled human operator can define the automatic reporting criteria and the samples flagged for review. All decisions relating to the instrument's analyte images can be reviewed and modified by a competent operator. The iQ200 Series automatic urine microscopy systems (iQ Series) are in vitro diagnostic devices designed to replace manual or other methods of analyzing urine sediment. Three urinary chemistry systems can be physically and electronically connected to an iQ Series device to form the iQ200 Series automated urinalysis workcell. These urine chemistry systems include the Iris iChem100 semiautomatic system and the Iris iChem® VELOCITY™ automatic urine chemistry system. The iQ200 workcell is used to automate the complete routine urinalysis profile, including urine dipstick chemistry, relative density, color, clarity and microscopic analysis. In an iQ200 workcell, microscopic and chemical results are combined for review. Table 1.1, iQ200 workcell configurations, shows the different possible configurations of the iQ200 workcell.
