If monitoring is to be carried out over an extended period, after a certain length of time the device switches to standby mode, during which data logging continues, but is no longer displayed as the screen is momentarily switched off to save energy.For patients requiring continuous monitoring over several days, there is a dedicated setting for night-time monitoring, during which the EDAN iM60 vital signs monitor needs to be more discreet. When this mode is active, the brightness is dimmed, the alarm volume is reduced and the sounds that reproduce the heartbeat become inaudible. The silicone buttons, meanwhile, are illuminated to remain visible to clinic staff.
